Hi, I am Kate aka Def0cused, a photographer, videographer, designer and VJ hailing from Tallinn, Estonia. With a keen eye for capturing the essence of moments, I embarked on a creative journey that led to a remarkable career in visual arts.
Originally drawn to the vibrant streets of London, I spent an enriching nine years immersed in the dynamic cultural scene of the city. During this time, London served as a melting pot of inspiration, influencing my unique approach to photography and videography.

Specialising not only in still photography but also in the dynamic world of videography, I have seamlessly blended the art of storytelling with visual aesthetics. My work reflects a diverse range of subjects, from urban landscapes to intimate human stories, all encapsulated through the lens of my camera.
As a VJ (Visual Jockey), I have brought my artistic vision to life in live events, creating immersive visual experiences that synchronise with music and atmosphere. My work transcends conventional boundaries, adding a captivating visual layer to the auditory realm.

Now based in the eclectic city of Bristol, I continue to push creative boundaries, combining my Estonian roots with the rich experiences gained in London. Whether capturing the essence of a moment through the lens or crafting visually stunning experiences as a VJ, my work is a testament to the power of visual storytelling and the global journey that shapes an artist’s perspective.

Equipment
I worked and tested a huge range of different cameras from Soviet Zenit and Smena to high-end Leica, but currently I mainly use my beloved Canon 5D Mark IV. Accessories: Canon EF 24-70mm f/2.8L II USM + Canon EF 50mm f/1.8 II lenses, Vanguard alta+ 235 ap, GoPro HERO8, DJI & Glidecam.
